| This job position is offered through LTL, LLC This position require being part of a crew whose function is to herd live turkeys within the confines of a poultry building onto mechanized turkey-loading machinery and load live turkeys into cages (coops) on trucks for transport to processing plants. Crews consist of 7 personnel and each job on the crew is rotated after each truck is loaded with frequent breaks. All personnel are required to “set up” and “take down” equipment prior to and after loading of each house for transport. Loading personnel are under direct supervision of a foreman. Crews meet and are transported to and from loading sites (farms) from a predetermined location. Requirements: – Applicant must be physically fit and able to slide/push/lift live turkeys weighing 35 – 50 lbs. from a conveyor into coops on trucks with occasional lifting of same size bird from ground level to waist high. – This position consists of nighttime (and occasionally daytime) work schedules on a daily basis including occasional weekends and all seasons. – This position requires compliance with all company policies and safety procedures.
